We would like to take these pages to introduce to some of the cars owned by members of the Register here in the U.K.
At least two of the cars had been imported and sold new in the country, many others have been here for a few years and some have just recently been shipped in. The importation of classic, older Australian Fords actually presents few difficulties, barring the unfortunate and expensive business of import duty and tax. Many of the shipping and transportation companies who ship cars from the U.S. are equally happy to quote for and arrange shipping from Australia, and there now are several companies in Australia who can source and prepare cars of most types.
Prices of cars in Australia seem competitive when you consider that you get a fair bit of car for the money and the Australian dollar tends to stay at a lower exchange rate than that of the U.S. dollar.
